• This position operates at the convergence of software engineering, AI agent development, and customer solution architecture.
• The engineer collaborates closely with clients and internal stakeholders to convert complex business challenges into intelligent automation solutions across voice and digital platforms.
• The AI Forward Deployed Engineer will create, prototype, and implement AI agents that integrate with enterprise systems, delivering scalable customer self-service experiences powered by intelligent virtual agents, knowledge management, and omnichannel engagement capabilities.
• You will architect and deliver production-ready conversational AI agents that are central to the business and directly contribute to company growth.
• These are operational, scalable agentic AI systems, not mere experiments or proof-of-concepts, functioning across sectors such as financial services, healthcare, and commerce.
• You will have complete ownership of the entire AI agent lifecycle, guiding projects from initial pilot through to launch and continuous refinement.
• You will work directly with decision-makers at some of the world’s leading enterprises to address their top-priority challenges with agentic AI.
• The patterns and problems you encounter in the field will directly influence the platform's evolution, tools, and product roadmap.
• Practical experience in building and managing end-to-end production systems at scale.

• Experience as a startup founder or early engineer is highly valued; you understand the trade-offs between speed, quality, and ownership.
• Demonstrated technical problem-solving skills, especially in rapidly changing and loosely defined environments.
• Experience in developing or managing AI/LLM-powered systems in production is a significant advantage.
• Working knowledge of the current AI agent toolkit, including evaluation frameworks, orchestration tools, RAG pipelines, and prompt engineering.
• Familiarity with React, TypeScript, and/or Go is beneficial.
• Comfortable working directly with clients to identify their problems and provide practical solutions.
• Previous experience in customer-facing or externally-led technical roles is a plus.
• A clear and direct communicator who can effectively persuade both engineers and executives.
• Able to navigate ambiguity and make progress without waiting for complete clarity.
• Capable of balancing competing priorities and fostering alignment between technical and business teams.
• Develop AI agents that function in production at significant scale, rather than merely working on slideware or research projects.
• Collaborate closely with leaders at globally recognized enterprises and rapidly growing startups.
• Have a direct impact on the direction of NiCE's AI agent platform through the real challenges you address.
• Enjoy true autonomy and comprehensive ownership throughout the agent lifecycle.
• Work at the forefront of AI agent development with access to the latest models, infrastructure, and research.
