This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Collaborate with customer teams to implement Connect AI, set up MCP servers, integrate data sources, and ensure agent workflows are validated in a production environment.
• Develop and evaluate AI agent integrations utilizing Connect AI Workspaces and Toolkits with appropriately defined data access.
• Configure semantic context and governance layers to guarantee precise, permission-aware responses from agents across interconnected sources.
• Create and deploy AI integrations.
• Write production-level code in Python, Java, or C# that links customer systems to Connect AI through MCP, REST, OData, and CData drivers.
• Execute the integration patterns and security settings established with the engagement architect.
• Contribute to and leverage the FDE team's reference architectures, blueprints, and sample agents.
• Develop and deliver iterative solutions on a multi-sprint cycle, featuring weekly customer demonstrations, validation checkpoints, and refinement of AI workflows.
• Manage deployment health for your engagements, monitor MCP performance, troubleshoot agent accuracy, and ensure a seamless transition to Customer Success.
• Address and resolve production issues, escalating to the architect or product team as necessary.
• Document product deficiencies and agent behavior patterns observed in the field, providing prioritized insights to the Connect AI product team.
• Capture reusable patterns from your engagements, including code snippets, deployment recipes, and troubleshooting notes that enhance the collective knowledge of the FDE team.
• 3–6 years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or technical consulting, with practical delivery experience.
• Proven track record of delivering production code in roles that impact or involve customer interactions.
• Experience in communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
• AI-literate — possesses an understanding of how LLMs process data, the functionality of MCP, and how agents utilize tools and context for reasoning over enterprise data sources.
• Proficient in Python, Java, or C# with experience in developing API integrations, data pipelines, or connector-based workflows.
• Comfortable with data management tasks including SQL, REST APIs, ODBC/JDBC, JSON/XML parsing, and multi-source data mapping.
• Capable of configuring governed access for AI agents, including RBAC, OAuth 2.1, and semantic scoping.
• Possesses a builder mentality, delivering effective solutions in ambiguous customer environments under tight iteration cycles.
• Strong communicator able to clearly and confidently convey technical AI concepts to non-technical customer stakeholders.
• High agency; comfortable serving as the primary engineering representative on customer engagements.
