Forward Deployed Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Create and conduct highly engaging technical workshops, architectural deep-dives, and interactive training sessions.

• Serve as a central technical resource, providing architectural guidance to customer developers.

• Offer immediate, collaborative technical direction and assist with troubleshooting issues.

• Support customers in architecting logical systems that utilize multi-agent LLM interactions.

• Ensure that customer applications are resilient, production-ready, and scalable.

• Act as a two-way connector between customers and Akka's internal teams.

• Facilitate interactive "Office Hours" and regular architectural review sessions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive, hands-on experience in developing complex logic systems using LLMs and multi-agent frameworks.

• Strong foundation in creating enterprise-grade policy ladders and implementing effective guardrails.

• Experience in developing AI test suites for ongoing evaluation and measurement of model performance.

• Fluency in English, both verbal and written, at a native level.

• Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new languages and frameworks.

• Background in technical enablement, developer relations, technical consulting, or mentoring in engineering.

• Significant experience with distributed architecture and functional programming principles.

• Specific hands-on expertise with Akka (Clustering, Persistence, and Streams) is highly preferred.

• Strong professional understanding of Java or other JVM-based languages.

• Knowledge of application deployment and container orchestration, especially with Kubernetes.
