This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Review laboratory findings, toxicology assessments, and medical documentation pertaining to substance exposure and impairment.
• Create detailed written reports and expert opinions derived from medical record analyses and examination results.
• Deliver expert testimony at depositions, trials, and other legal proceedings through telephone, video conferencing, or in-person appearances.
• Collaborate with attorneys to offer toxicological insights and strategic expertise.
• Keep abreast of the latest medical literature, research, and advancements in forensic toxicology.
• Maintain thorough time records and submit precise invoices according to company protocols.
• Travel out-of-state may be necessary on short notice for testimony.
• A Bachelor's degree in chemistry or a related scientific discipline is mandatory.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant laboratory experience in testing blood and other bodily fluids.
• Familiarity with microscopic techniques, chromatography, and spectrographic analysis.
• Background in Forensic/Criminology laboratories is preferred.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
• Capability to articulate complex toxicology concepts in simple terms.
• Strong analytical skills and critical thinking capabilities.
• Professional demeanor and appearance suitable for testimony.
• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
• Ability to work autonomously and adhere to deadlines.
• Proficiency in electronic records management and computer systems.
