Foreclosure Specialist III – Foreclosure Timeline Control

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.

📋 Description

• Oversee the progress of foreclosures via queues and reporting mechanisms.

• Collaborate with foreclosure attorneys, outside legal counsel, and/or in-house counsel to address disputes.

• Act as the primary escalation point for the team and attorneys.

• Ensure compliance with FHA first legal deadlines.

• Investigate, confirm, and update loans listed on foreclosure exception reports.

• Approve additional attorney fees as necessary.

• Maintain accurate tracking and reporting of legal expenses related to litigation files.

• Conduct quality control reviews and approve bidding instructions.

• Regularly perform 'side by side' evaluations with team members for loan-level issues.

• Review all assigned loans at least once every 30 days.

• Ensure adherence to federal, state, regulatory, and investor guidelines.

• Collaborate with management on changes to procedures.

• Collect departmental information for presentations.

• Comply with operational risk controls and maintain compliance standards.

• Uphold M&T internal control standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• A combination of 4 years of higher education and/or relevant work experience.

• At least 2 years of experience in a Default Servicing-related field.

• Proficient in word processing and spreadsheet software applications.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Robust analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Capability to work effectively within a team setting.

• Preferred: 3 years of experience in a Default Servicing-related field.

• Demonstrated leadership skills.

• Familiarity with banking and departmental systems.

• Knowledge of mortgage products, including home equity loans and lines of credit.
