This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Engage with current and potential food donors to secure substantial contributions from produce, retail, wholesale, and import sectors.
• Collaborate closely with the Head of Food Rescue to strategically allocate donations, balancing revenue generation, freight efficiency, donor requirements, and partner capacity.
• Keep detailed and organized records of all food movements, including timing, volume, commodities, destinations, and logistics specifics.
• Conduct meetings and onboard new food donors, educating them about SE’s mission, procedures, and quality standards.
• Develop and sustain strong relationships with growers, wholesalers, retailers, importers, and partners within the food industry.
• Ensure adherence to product quality standards and inform donors about distribution requirements concerning aging, pack sizes, and handling processes.
• Broaden donor networks in essential growing regions, distribution centers, and areas with high supply volumes.
• Participate in relevant industry events, conferences, and association meetings to enhance relationships and visibility.
• Work in conjunction with the distribution team to coordinate transportation and guarantee the timely and efficient transfer of donations.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to all partners, donors, and internal teams.
• Monitor and report key performance indicators, including volume sourced, donor retention, freight efficiency, and sourcing trends.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the food industry, including fresh produce, food banking, wholesale, terminal markets, or a related field.
• Ability to strategically analyze sourcing opportunities, logistics efficiency, and donor engagement.
• Proficiency in utilizing internal tools such as Google Sheets, CRMs, and SE’s proprietary sourcing application.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license and capability to lift 20–40 lbs as required.
• A Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not mandatory; having one would be an advantage.
