📋 Description

• **Key Responsibilities:**

• Oversee and manage the processes related to FOIA litigation, including coordinating responses to litigation inquiries and tracking active cases.

• Review and assess case files, legal documents, and records to ensure adherence to FOIA regulations.

• Draft legal correspondence, pleadings, and various documentation pertinent to FOIA requests and litigation matters.

• Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders, including legal counsel, to prepare for litigation and strategize case management.

• Conduct research on FOIA precedents, policies, and best practices to guide case strategy and decision-making.

• Keep abreast of developments in FOIA-related case law and regulations to ensure compliance and recognize implications for ongoing cases.

• Assist in preparing agency officials for depositions and court appearances.

• Maintain precise records of litigation activities and outcomes, providing reports on metrics and case statuses as required.


⛳️ Requirements

• **Qualifications:**

• A Bachelor’s degree in law, public administration, information management, or a related discipline.

• 3-5 years of full-time experience in FOIA litigation or similar legal analysis roles.

• Deep understanding of FOIA regulations, litigation processes, and pertinent case law.

• Proven experience in drafting legal documents and correspondence.

• Proficient in utilizing legal research tools and case management software.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the capacity to convey complex legal concepts clearly.

• Skilled at operating in a dynamic environment and managing multiple priorities at once.

• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a security clearance if required.
