This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• You will take a pivotal role in the firmware development for advanced flash controllers and assist in the introduction of new features.
• You will focus on a particular domain of firmware concerning controller hardware.
• You will engage with concepts such as performance optimization and reliability, among others, and their practical application.
• You will work in close collaboration with our testing team to guarantee thorough firmware verification and validation.
• Additionally, you will support the stabilization phase of firmware releases, which includes analyzing test results.
• A degree in engineering, computer science, or a related discipline (BSc, MSc, or equivalent).
• You possess an open mindset and enjoy teamwork.
• While professional experience in embedded software development is beneficial, we welcome entry-level candidates as well.
• A strong command of the C programming language is essential.
• Familiarity with microprocessors, embedded systems architecture, compilers, and development tools for embedded software is required.
• Knowledge of the Linux kernel, particularly in relation to block devices and file systems, is advantageous.
• Experience with specific host interfaces for storage devices (e.g., PCIe/NVMe) is a plus.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English and German is mandatory.
