Fintech Operations Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of two essential components of our fintech operations: bookkeeping and capital management.

• Develop and lead the operational framework for Jobber's bookkeeping services.

• Manage the operational structure for Jobber's lending solutions.

• Create and maintain reporting systems that provide leadership with real-time insights into capital performance and bookkeeping status.

• Design and document the policies, controls, and standard operating procedures that support your areas of responsibility.

• Collaborate closely with Support, Legal, Finance, Product, Analytics, and Engineering teams to ensure that compliance and operational needs are integrated from the outset.

⛳️ Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of compliance operations such as KYC/KYB, AML/ATF, and PCI DSS, preferably with experience in both Canada and the US.

• Practical experience in bookkeeping or financial operations, including reconciliation and close cooperation with Finance for ledger accuracy.

• Understanding of lending or capital products and the practical workings of loan disbursement, repayment, and delinquency processes.

• A data-driven approach with hands-on SQL/Python or analytics expertise, along with the ability to create and interpret operational dashboards.

• Knowledge of credit risk management, including familiarity with concepts like credit exposure, probability of default, and loss at default.

• Proven success in utilizing AI tools to enhance productivity and operational effectiveness, with a passion for further advancements.

• Demonstrated ability to develop policies, processes, and controls from the ground up in a dynamic environment.

• Strong project management capabilities, with the ability to juggle multiple workstreams at once.

• Familiarity with operational tools such as Jira, Asana, Salesforce, etc.

• An openness to potentially lead teams as the business expands.

• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Business, Finance, or similar) is mandatory, while advanced certifications or degrees are advantageous.
