
FinOps Analyst – Infrastructure Cost Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Oversee the financial elements of on-premises IT infrastructure.
• Conduct cost analyses and assist in pricing for internal services as well as those provided to clients.
• Evaluate the use of CPU, memory, storage, licensing, and other infrastructure resources.
• Discover opportunities for resource optimization and the reduction of operational expenses.
• Generate financial and operational metrics for the IT infrastructure.
• Engage in capacity planning activities.
• Create Showback and Chargeback models for infrastructure services.
• Monitor expenses related to virtualization, databases, backup, monitoring, storage, and licensing.
• Develop management reports and dashboards to oversee infrastructure costs.
• Collaborate with technical teams, managers, and other departments to collect information and support financial assessments.
• Contribute to ongoing improvement efforts in infrastructure financial management processes.
• Work closely with the monitoring team and provide customer assistance.
• Supervise monitoring consoles.
• Address alert notifications.
• Adjust hardware resources on virtual servers as necessary.
• Inform the team of actions undertaken.
• Monitor the communication group of the team.
• Activate support teams when required.
• Respond to telephone inquiries.
• Proven experience in the financial management of IT infrastructure.
• Background in analyzing costs and usage of technological resources.
• Experience in preparing indicators and management dashboards.
• Familiarity with capacity planning.
• Experience in medium to large corporate environments.
• Understanding of FinOps principles as they relate to IT infrastructure.
• Experience in the financial analysis of infrastructure, operational costs (OPEX), and investments (CAPEX).
• Knowledge of pricing for infrastructure services and developing cost models.
• Understanding of Capacity Planning, Showback, and Chargeback methodologies.
• Experience with virtualized environments, particularly VMware vSphere/ESXi.
• Knowledge of server infrastructure, storage, backup, databases, and monitoring systems.
• Advanced skills in Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis techniques.
• Proficiency in Power BI for creating dashboards and indicators.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Production Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, or related disciplines.
• Additional courses in FinOps, Financial Management, Power BI, Data Analysis, IT Governance, or Infrastructure Management are advantageous.
• FinOps Certified Practitioner (FOCP) certification is preferred.
• ITIL Foundation certification is a plus.
• Microsoft PL-300 – Power BI Data Analyst Associate certification is beneficial.
• Certifications related to IT Governance, Financial Management, or Service Management are considered an asset.
• Familiarity with software licensing (Microsoft, VMware, Oracle, or similar) is a plus.
• Knowledge of Power Query is an advantage.
• Understanding of SQL for data queries and extraction is beneficial.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Zabbix and Grafana is a plus.
• Must be available to work Monday to Friday, from 08:00 to 12:00 and 13:12 to 18:00.
