Financial Resources Consultant – Employee Benefits, National Accounts Underwriting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Conducts analysis on various group products, including but not limited to Life/AD&D, Absence/Disability, Supplemental Health, Vision, and Dental.

• Acts as the main financial authority and point of contact for account teams, overseeing all financial dimensions of SNS’ clients’ programs, such as RFPs, renewal negotiations, statutory feasibility, ad-hoc analyses, and regular experience evaluations.

• Employs an evidence-driven methodology to assess the experience of SNS’ clients.

• Collaborates with the Sales and Service teams to formulate strategies that respond to trends in client experience, providing pertinent recommendations and communicating these insights through internal and external presentations.

• Reviews proposed pricing and negotiates with vendors to secure equitable and competitive costs for our clients.

• Executes complex and precise claim selections, develops reserves, and calculates expense factors and components.

• Estimates prices for self-insured products utilizing intricate data extracts.

• Assists Account teams with ad-hoc financial analyses.

• Delivers ROI analyses and visual aids.

• Produces client-ready reports and presentations.

• Innovates new reports and tools.

• Engages in client meetings and conference calls as necessary to offer underwriting and financial expertise.

• Monitors the SNS portfolio, identifying trends by product, industry, account team, and vendor.

• Creates client-specific statutory feasibility analyses.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or Statistics.

• A minimum of 3-5 years of Group Underwriting experience, ideally for clients with over 2500 lives.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

• Familiarity with the MS Office Suite.

• Exceptional interpersonal abilities.

• Capacity to uphold a high level of confidentiality.

• Strong analytical skills; adept at managing complex data sets.
