This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• The Financial Management Consultant will assist our clients in identifying, evaluating, and resolving some of their most intricate challenges.
• They will support clients in achieving their strategic objectives and fulfilling their mission.
• The role involves helping clients enhance their business processes, boost operational efficiency, assess and improve internal controls, strengthen policies and controls, increase transparency and performance management, and ensure compliance with Federal laws and regulations.
• The consultant will support internal controls over financial reporting (ICOFR) in accordance with OMB Circular A-123.
• They will aid in the development and implementation of corrective action plans and broader remediation strategies aimed at addressing internal control and audit deficiencies while strengthening financial processes.
• The position entails providing a wide range of financial statement audit and audit risk management as well as remediation support to help the agency maintain a clean audit opinion and improve internal controls.
• Candidates must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST"; they must secure approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse.
• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Information Systems, or a related financial field is required.
• A minimum of FOUR (4) years of Financial Management experience is necessary, including:
• Reviewing documentation supporting property, plant, and equipment.
• Knowledge of financial statement audit standards.
• Experience in responding to audit requests.
