This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Engage with patients to discuss their benefits, coverage options, and financial alternatives.
• Execute various tasks related to benefit verification and prior authorization processes.
• Offer continuous financial education and support to our patients throughout their care journey, acting as an educator, advocate, and liaison.
• Manage patient accounts by collecting, recording, and updating personal financial and insurance details.
• At least 2 to 4 years of experience in a medical business office, with a solid understanding of healthcare billing, collections, insurance/benefits, and patient interactions.
• Experience in interpreting payer remittance advice is essential, including the ability to identify allowed charges, contractual adjustments, line item denials/reasons, and patient responsibilities (co-pay, co-insurance, and deductibles).
• A Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
• Previous experience in an OB/GYN office is advantageous.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills are necessary for effective communication with departments, employees, physicians, managers, patients, and insurance providers.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and proficient with technology.
• Competent in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• A high level of customer service is crucial.
