Financial Data Integrations Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Facilitate the exchange of data between internal financial systems and accounting platforms such as QuickBooks Online and NetSuite.

• Map data fields and structures between different systems to ensure precise data transfer.

• Diagnose data synchronization problems and pinpoint the root causes of integration failures.

• Validate data integrity throughout import/export processes and reconcile any discrepancies.

• Collaborate with the development team on API integrations with accounting systems.

• Offer technical guidance regarding data structures, requirements, and limitations of accounting systems.

• Review integration specifications and test data flows to ensure adherence to accounting system standards.

• Document data mapping requirements and integration workflows for implementation by development.

• Assist customers with migrating data to and from accounting systems.

• Clarify data requirements, formatting standards, and best practices for accounting system integrations.

• Troubleshoot data issues reported by customers related to accounting system connections.

• Create documentation and training materials for customers on data exchange processes.

• Write SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze financial data for integration purposes.

• Execute data validation and quality checks on financial datasets prior to transfer.

• Generate reports that compare internal financial data with data from accounting systems.

• Identify and rectify data inconsistencies between systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.

• 3-5 years of experience with QuickBooks Online and NetSuite or similar accounting platforms.

• A strong understanding of accounting system data structures, workflows, and limitations.

• Advanced SQL scripting skills for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.

• Experience in supporting technical teams or customers facing data integration challenges.

• A solid grasp of accounting principles, including GL structure, AR/AP, and revenue recognition.

• Demonstrated ability to convert business requirements into technical specifications.
