Financial Analyst – Intermediate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Generate monthly financial forecasts that encompass actual results, trends, and anticipated expenditures.

• Verify, process, and monitor vendor invoices to guarantee precision and adherence to contract stipulations.

• Compile and submit monthly accrual entries to facilitate accurate financial reporting at the end of each period.

• Create monthly budget updates and reports on contract spending, emphasizing variances and expenditure trends.

• Assist in governance reporting requirements by delivering precise and timely financial and operational data.

• Develop and oversee purchase orders, ensuring compliance with procurement policies and proper financial coding.

• Prepare and sustain Service Entry Sheets (SES) in 1GX (SAP Ariba), ensuring prompt approvals and accurate documentation for goods and services received.

• Create, maintain, and revise process documentation pertaining to financial and contracting workflows.

• Manage project records in alignment with corporate records management standards and retention policies.

• Handle and address audit-related inquiries, information requests, and documentation needs from both internal and external stakeholders.

• Formulate cost models and perform cost analyses to aid in budgeting, planning, and operational decision-making.

• Examine historical and projected data to identify financial trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.

• Prepare clear, data-driven insights and recommendations for leadership.
