This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee daily approval processes for purchase orders to ensure accurate coding and alignment with budget; guarantee prompt PO approvals, correct actual-to-budget mappings, and resolve any discrepancies with stakeholders.
• Assist in monthly and quarterly closing activities by preparing and reviewing expense accruals, amortization schedules, and reclassifications, ensuring a timely and precise closing process.
• Create recurring management review packages (including OPEX, CAPEX, and HC reports, along with trend analyses) and provide valuable insights for business evaluations.
• Conduct variance analyses (actual figures compared to budget, forecast, or prior periods), identify key factors, communicate actionable insights, and track follow-ups until resolution.
• Offer guidance on expense recognition related to items like prepaids, milestones, and capital expenditures to aid in accurate forecasting.
• Contribute to annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting cycles by collecting input from budget owners, validating assumptions, consolidating submissions, and documenting essential drivers.
• Assist with ad hoc analyses and scenario modeling to support leadership decision-making and adapt to evolving business requirements.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting is required; MBA or CPA is preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a financial planning role, ideally within a pharmaceutical or biotechnology organization.
• Strong planning, reporting, and analytical abilities with a proven track record of business and systems impact in previous positions.
• Proficient in computer software applications, particularly the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI).
• Capability to work with large datasets from various systems to generate insights and reporting.
• Experience with financial systems, including proficiency in ERP solutions (such as SAP or Oracle) and planning/reporting tools (e.g., TM1, Hyperion, Adaptive, etc.).
