Financial Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Consolidate and evaluate financial data (including budgets and income statement forecasts) while considering the company's objectives and financial position.

• Offer innovative alternatives and suggestions for cost reduction and enhancement of financial performance.

• Gather and summarize information to create detailed reports on the financial status and associated risks.

• Develop financial models, perform benchmarking, and analyze processes.

• Conduct business analyses on historical, prospective, and comparative performance while creating forecasting models.

• Identify trends, provide advice to the company, and recommend actions to senior financial analysts based on thorough analysis.

• Monitor and assess financial status by comparing actual outcomes with forecasts.

• Reconcile transactions by examining and correcting discrepancies in data.

• Continuously update job knowledge to stay informed about innovations in the field.

• Collaborate with management to guide and influence long-term and strategic decision-making across a broad spectrum.

• Lead initiatives for process improvement and policy development that have an impact on the function.

• Demonstrated experience working as a finance analyst.

• Expertise in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office, and financial software applications.

• Practical experience with statistical analysis and statistical software packages.

• Exceptional presentation, reporting, and communication abilities.

• Established knowledge in financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance, and information analysis.

• Well-versed in current financial topics, accounting principles, tax regulations, money markets, and business environments.
