Financial Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Evaluate financial information and generate monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.

• Create financial models, forecasts, and budgeting strategies to align with business goals.

• Assess company performance by monitoring KPIs, revenue patterns, and operational metrics.

• Perform variance analysis to pinpoint financial risks and opportunities.

• Aid in strategic planning, pricing evaluations, and profitability analysis.

• Develop presentations and reports for leadership and stakeholders.

• Assist in cash flow forecasting and managing expense initiatives.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including operations, sales, and executive management.

• Ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial data across various systems and reports.

• Suggest process enhancements to improve financial efficiency and the accuracy of reporting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.

• Over 2 years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, accounting, or corporate finance positions.

• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.

• Experience in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting processes.

• Familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems such as NetSuite, Xero, QuickBooks, or SAP is preferred.

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

• Capability to convey financial insights effectively to non-financial stakeholders.

• Comfortable working independently in a remote setting.

• Experience in SaaS, FinTech, eCommerce, or startup environments is advantageous.
