Financial Aid Officer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide guidance to incoming, continuing, and re-entry students regarding the availability of Title IV funds and resources to support their educational expenses.

• Address student inquiries concerning the completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid and Direct Loan Entrance/Exit Counseling.

• Perform verification on all applications selected by the Department of Education.

• Resolve discrepancies identified between financial aid documents and other records within the student's file.

• Conduct financial aid assessments for students interested in enrollment.

• Submit student files for review by the Campus Compliance Specialist in a timely manner while maintaining a low error rate.

• Communicate effectively with admissions department staff to ensure that future enrollments have the necessary documentation for packaging.

• Ensure that files are uploaded into the CampusVue operating system.

• Provide updates to the Campus President regarding students who have not submitted the required documentation or paperwork for Title IV funding.

• Advise students about Institutional Payment Plans (IPP) during the packaging process and assist with the completion of the IPP process as needed.

• Utilize and track activities effectively within CampusVue.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma (or GED) from an academic institution accredited by a regional or national accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer service-related field.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining organization.

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

• Proven ability to uphold confidentiality.

• Must not be in default on any federal student loan.

• An Associate’s degree or higher from an accredited academic institution is preferred.

• At least 1 year of prior experience in Financial Aid is preferred.

• Familiarity with CampusVue is preferred.
