This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Overseeing and managing all accounting activities across the group of companies.
• Assisting the Accounts Assistant in ensuring the precise processing of accounts receivable and payable, which includes managing inter-company charges and timely on-charging of amounts to customers, as well as completing daily bank reconciliations.
• Responsible for all accounting journals and adjustments needed for accurate financial reporting, ensuring all subsidiary accounts are fully reconciled.
• Delivering Month End Financial Reports to Management punctually.
• Handling GST and PAYE returns filing.
• Managing reconciliations for inter-company transactions.
• Maintaining organized and precise financial documentation.
• Responsible for Quarterly Bank Covenant Reporting, accompanied by business performance commentary.
• Providing Costing and Variance Analysis.
• Preparing and supervising the budget and cash flow forecasts for the group.
• Updating with actuals on a monthly basis and reporting to Management.
• Managing cash flow forecasts and providing daily reports.
• Capable of offering insights into cash flow management.
• Responsible for identifying opportunities to enhance internal financial processes and controls, including improving receivables collections and implementing changes.
• Able to document processes and train staff responsible for inputting information into financial systems.
• Working closely with external accountants, banks, and other stakeholders to provide necessary information in a timely manner.
• Leading accounting and finance-related meetings and taking charge of discussions.
• Supporting other functions within the company, such as Health and Safety, HR, Council, and other compliance requirements that necessitate input from the finance team.
• Proficient in using Xero at an advanced level.
• Experienced with Dext and Approval Max.
• Quick to learn new industry-specific software such as My Trucking and iLoad.
• Able to work independently with minimal oversight on a daily basis.
• Strong reconciliation skills with the ability to meet deadlines across various tasks.
• Capable of maintaining organized and accurate financial documentation.
• Experienced in leading other staff members.
• A minimum of five years of New Zealand experience at a similar level (formal qualifications are preferred but not mandatory).
