Financial Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Oversee daily accounting functions for multiple group entities

• Examine and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure precision and compliance

• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes and produce necessary reports

• Collaborate with external accounting firms, auditors, and tax consultants

• Guarantee timely and compliant statutory submissions across various jurisdictions

• Aid in initiatives for process enhancement, standardization, and automation

• Facilitate the integration of newly acquired companies into the group's financial systems

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline

• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, ideally in an international or group setting

• Strong grasp of accounting principles (local GAAP / HGB)

• Excellent analytical capabilities, meticulous attention to detail, and a proactive approach

• Proficient communication skills in both German and English (C1+)

• Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

• Experience with DATEV, covering financial accounting, asset accounting, and tax processes

• Advanced MS Excel skills, including proficiency in pivot tables, lookups, and automation functions

• Comprehensive knowledge of applicable tax regulations, particularly regarding VAT and corporate tax

• Strong inclination towards digital accounting and process automation, preferably with experience in cloud-based finance solutions or workflow optimization
