Financial Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Take independent operational and technical responsibility for ongoing financial accounting.

• Lead the enhancement and digital transformation of finance processes as part of global process standardization.

• Ensure accurate bookkeeping in compliance with the German Commercial Code (Handelsgesetzbuch, HGB) and assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

• Aid in coordinating internal and external audits with auditors and tax advisors while preparing the necessary documentation.

• Collaborate with the Controlling team and engage in budget, forecast, and investment planning, as well as analyze financial KPIs to provide well-founded recommendations for action.

• Oversee the processing, monitoring, and securing of payment flows to maintain liquidity.

• Assist in optimizing working capital and managing risks.

• Ensure adherence to legal requirements and internal policies, contributing to the ongoing development of internal control systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Completed commercial/business training with further qualification as a Bilanzbuchhalter (IHK), a degree in business administration/finance, or equivalent international qualifications.

• Several years of professional experience in finance and accounting, preferably in a similar senior position.

• Proficient in both German and English.

• Strong understanding of the German Commercial Code (Handelsgesetzbuch, HGB), tax legislation, and accounting principles.

• Familiarity with mainstream accounting software (e.g., SAP or Microsoft Dynamics AX) and proficient use of MS Office, particularly Excel.

• Possess an analytical mindset, a strong awareness of quality, and a structured approach to work.
