Finance & Strategy Manager, HTS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Serve as a strategic ally to the company's leadership by creating and upholding financial models that convert intricate operational factors into straightforward strategic recommendations.

• Develop long-term forecasting models and systems that surpass static spreadsheets, utilizing AI to simulate potential scenarios and construct a resilient, code-driven roadmap for the upcoming 3–5 years.

• Create and sustain code-based frameworks that fuel Hopper’s financial engine, employing Claude to write, debug, and enhance complex SQL and BigQuery workflows that automate real-time dashboards and weekly performance reports.

• Partner with Sales and Media teams on forecasting, unit economics, and performance monitoring as business priorities progress.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, strategy, finance, mathematics, engineering, or another quantitative field.

• 5–7+ years of experience in a prominent technology company, preferably with a background in investment banking.

• Proven experience using Claude, ChatGPT, or GitHub Copilot to enhance productivity—leveraging AI to produce higher-quality SQL more swiftly rather than depending solely on existing SQL knowledge.

• An entrepreneurial mindset with the capability to work autonomously.

• Strong analytical and innovative problem-solving abilities, backed by substantial experience in three-statement financial modeling.

• Fluency in both French and English is essential for this role. The successful candidate will be required to consistently communicate and collaborate with colleagues, managers, clients, vendors, and business partners outside of Quebec, and will be expected to consult, prepare, and utilize documentation, systems, and communications in both languages. Proficiency in English is necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of the role and meet operational and client-facing demands in an international business setting.
