Finance Process Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Are you eager to help us shape the world of tomorrow? Join our Finance team as a Finance Process Manager (all genders) and assist in building and advancing our finance processes and system architecture.

• In this role, you will work closely with the CFO, the Strategic Finance Manager, and the Finance Team, taking responsibility for mapping and enhancing our financial processes—particularly during the operational phase of our PV plants, in close collaboration with the Process Managers in Commercial and Operations.

• Gain an overview of our finance process architecture and the interfaces between Finance and other departments, especially Commercial and Operations.

• Analyze existing end-to-end processes across project companies—from invoice processing and advance payments (leases) to monthly closings.

• Identify media discontinuities and manual process steps that can be automated or represented systemically.

• Collaborate closely with Tech to translate initial requirements into system logic and implement quick wins to reduce manual efforts.

• Manage and develop finance processes throughout the entire asset lifecycle—from the construction phase to commissioning and ongoing operations.

• Actively drive the system representation of invoices and advance payments toward automated, process-secure workflows.

• Serve as a central and clearly defined entry point for finance requirements into the software & systems roadmap: you filter, prioritize, and translate business requirements into precise system specifications before development begins.

• Ensure a consistent data flow between ZOHO, DATEV, Candis, and other tools, while considering reporting requirements and data quality from the outset.

• Gradually expand the role beyond accounting: eventually, you will set up all finance processes end-to-end—including controlling and reporting—review them, and make them scalable.

⛳️ Requirements

• A completed degree in business administration, business informatics, or a related field—or demonstrable professional experience in finance operations or process management within the finance sector.

• At least 3–5 years of experience in an operational role within the finance sector, ideally in a scaling company with project company structures or complex billing models.

• Proficient in common finance systems—knowledge of DATEV or upstream tools like Candis is a plus, but not a requirement: what matters is your ability to quickly learn new tools.

• Proven methodological competence in process design: you can analyze, structure, and document end-to-end finance processes in standardized formats—ensuring that requirements are directly compatible for Tech.

• Experience collaborating with software or tech teams—you understand how to translate business finance requirements into system logic.

• Basic understanding of system architectures and interface logic between finance tools and operational systems (e.g., ERP connections, data flows).

• Proficient in project management and collaboration tools, as well as excellent knowledge of spreadsheet tools (Google Sheets, Excel).

• Fluent in German and English—you are comfortable in an international environment.

• A structured, conscientious work style with implementation strength—you think in processes, not isolated cases.
