Finance Manager – Controlling, Rechnungswesen

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Overseeing (approximately 50%) the maintenance and further enhancement of operational and strategic controlling.

• Involvement in monthly closings, including variance analyses, forecasts, and deviation assessments.

• Project controlling covering contribution margins, capacity utilization, and profitability analyses.

• Development and improvement of KPIs, dashboards, and management reports, including AI-supported solutions.

• Close collaboration with the CFO, executive management, and operational units to guide performance.

• Accounting, reporting & planning (approximately 30%) participation in monthly and annual financial statements and accounting.

• Preparation of internal management reports.

• Annual planning, forecasting, and liquidity planning.

• Assistance with banking and tax advisory matters.

• Further enhancement of financial processes and systems.

• Projects & special topics (approximately 20%) involvement in projects such as performance management and process optimization.

• Support with contracts involving customers, suppliers, and partners.

• Assistance with M&A-related topics, business cases, or investment calculations.


⛳️ Requirements

• A completed university degree focusing on finance, controlling, accounting, or economics.

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in a similar finance or controlling role.

• Experience in project-based business, ideally within a service or agency context.

• Excellent analytical skills along with a structured and independent working style.

• Strong teamwork abilities and professional communication at an equal level with management and departments.

• Knowledge of controlling, reporting, or accounting.

• High IT affinity, particularly with Excel, BI tools, Datev, and AI being advantageous.
