Finance Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Malaysia.

📋 Description

• Oversee the entire month-end closing process and guarantee the accuracy of reports.

• Compile a comprehensive management reporting package that includes P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, KPIs, and commentary.

• Ensure adherence to SFRS/IFRS standards.

• Review all General Ledger schedules (accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, intercompany, etc.).

• Propel a swift and disciplined closing cycle.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly consolidations.

• Conduct intercompany matching, eliminations, and consolidation journal entries.

• Ensure timely and accurate consolidation for parent company reporting.

• Lead the annual budgeting process.

• Generate monthly and quarterly rolling forecasts.

• Develop financial models and conduct scenario analysis.

• Present insights and recommendations to management.

• Perform in-depth analysis on revenue, margins, costs, and variances.

• Identify risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

• Assist with tenders, pricing analysis, and business cases.

• Prepare comprehensive audit schedules and serve as the primary contact for auditors.

• Collaborate with the Singapore AFM on GST, corporate tax, and XBRL/ACRA compliance.

• Work alongside the AFM (SG), who manages treasury operations and payments.

• Mentor and guide the India Accountant & Revenue Accountant.

• Establish clear expectations, deadlines, and quality benchmarks.

• Enhance Standard Operating Procedures, controls, reporting templates, and overall efficiency.

• Support enhancements in finance systems and automation projects.

• Undertake any other ad-hoc projects as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• Preferred professional qualification (ACCA / CPA / CIMA).

• 6-10 years of finance experience in financial reporting, consolidation, budgeting, and FP&A.

• In-depth knowledge of SFRS/IFRS standards.

• Practical experience in consolidation processes.

• Strong analytical abilities and proficiency in Excel modeling.

• Experience in managing remote or offshore teams.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
