Finance Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• In the role of Finance Manager, you will take charge of a versatile, multi-faceted, and highly demanding set of responsibilities.

• Collaborate with business teams: act as a financial business partner within a defined scope — either a business line (Online, Card-Linked, Gift Cards, Media) or a geographical area (France, US, future markets).

• Lead financial planning for your area: take ownership of the budget and re-forecasts for your designated perimeter.

• Develop and sustain financial models: contribute to the overarching group financial model.

• Ensure a meticulous monthly close: manage the monthly P&L and balance-sheet closing process.

• Oversee cash management with diligence: track invoicing, cash collection, and working capital.

• Handle compliance and tax declarations: ensure local compliance for your scope of work.

• Enhance cost structure: become the primary contact for negotiating contracts with suppliers.

• Establish clear and secure financial processes and controls to avert fraud and errors.

• Utilize AI to enhance finance operations: incorporate AI into your daily tasks.

• Participate in fundraising and foster external relations when applicable.

⛳️ Requirements

• You are fluent in English (the primary language used internally), both in written and spoken forms. Proficiency in French is highly desirable, particularly for accounting, administrative, and tax matters.

• You possess 4 to 8 years of experience, merging a solid initial background in traditional finance (corporate finance, investment banking, private equity, transaction services, or audit) with ideally some exposure to a high-growth tech company or scale-up.

• You approach your role as a business partner rather than merely a finance controller. You can link financial analysis to business decisions and are comfortable challenging stakeholders with data-supported recommendations.

• You have a passion for interpreting complex data, structuring insightful analyses, and creating dependable financial or operational models to aid strategic decision-making.

• You cultivate strong relationships, communicate effectively with diverse groups, and view Finance as a business partner across all organizational functions.

• You are capable of assessing the accuracy and integrity of financial statements. You enjoy interpreting and utilizing financial data to inform decision-making.

• You have experience or a keen interest in multi-country financial operations — including multi-currency, international tax, and establishing finance operations in new markets.

• You actively engage with AI tools in your current work. You possess a clear perspective on how AI can streamline reporting, enhance forecasting, and expedite finance tasks.

• You understand that attention to detail is crucial, and you have a knack for identifying discrepancies.

• You possess strong written and verbal communication skills, able to explain complex concepts in straightforward terms.
