This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Preparing precise monthly management accounts, including variance analysis in relation to budgets and forecasts.
• Managing sales ledger tasks such as invoicing, credit control, and debt recovery.
• Overseeing purchase ledger operations, which include supplier payments and account reconciliations.
• Ensuring the accuracy of financial records, including bank reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and journals.
• Assisting in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, while ensuring our financial models are maintained and up-to-date.
• Handling payroll processing and reconciling payroll-related accounts.
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns, and supporting external audits and statutory reporting.
• Managing our financial reporting systems, focusing on data integrity, reporting consistency, and dashboard accuracy.
• Maintaining strong controls over licensing stock, ensuring accurate tracking and reconciliation with financial records.
• Collaborating with external accountants, auditors, and tax advisors to ensure compliance.
• ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified, part-qualified and actively studying, or Qualified by Experience (QBE) with proven experience in a similar Finance Manager position.
• Background in a finance function within an SME, start-up, or rapidly growing business.
• A history of producing management accounts and financial reports.
• Practical experience managing core finance processes, including payroll, VAT, and ledger management.
• Proficient in Excel and comfortable with our primary tool stack, including Xero, Notion, and Google Workspace, with a genuine interest in leveraging AI and automation for improved finance processes.
• Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational capabilities, and the ability to convert financial data into clear insights.
• A confident communication style that is straightforward, comfortable engaging with both internal stakeholders and external advisors.
