Finance Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Bahrain.

📋 Description

• Daily Finance Responsibilities: Take ownership of the entire financial management cycle for legal entities in the region, which includes month-end and year-end closure, maintenance of the general ledger, reconciliations of the balance sheet, and the preparation of financial statements in accordance with group accounting policies and relevant local standards.

• Financial Reporting & Analysis: Generate precise and timely financial reports, management accounts, and variance analyses. Deliver clear, well-supported insights regarding the financial performance of legal entities to the Finance Lead.

• AI-Driven Finance Optimization: Proactively identify and implement enhancements to regional accounting workflows, reporting procedures, and system/AI application, with a strong focus on utilizing AI and automation to achieve significant efficiency improvements.

• Audit Management: Support the external audit process for the region by acting as the main point of contact for external auditors, organizing the preparation of audit schedules and necessary documentation, overseeing audit timelines, and facilitating the resolution of findings along with the implementation of corrective measures. Prior experience with audits is highly preferred.

• Annual Planning & Rolling Forecast: Play a key role in the annual budgeting and rolling forecast processes for the region. Monitor actuals against the budget, proactively identify significant variances and trends, and assist the Finance Lead in ensuring the accuracy of the P&L forecast to facilitate timely business decisions.

• Accounts Payable & Receivable: Manage the complete AP/AR processes, encompassing invoice verification, payment processing, vendor relationships, and collections. Ensure precision and promptness across all transactions.

⛳️ Requirements

• BA/BS in Finance or Accounting (CPA, ACCA, or CMA is highly preferred)

• Over 5 years of experience in Finance Manager, Financial Controller, or Senior Accountant positions, ideally within a crypto, payment, or multinational setting

• Demonstrated experience managing external audit cycles; a background with Big 4 or public accounting firms is a significant advantage

• Capability to thrive in an unstructured environment, navigate ambiguity, juggle multiple tasks concurrently, and provide clarity and structure

• Proven interest in and familiarity with AI tools and automation in finance functions (e.g., AI-assisted reconciliation, data analytics platforms); practical experience is a strong plus

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities — proficient in conveying complex financial data clearly to management and cross-functional teams

• Strong grasp of general accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS), general ledger operations, and the month-end/year-end closing process

• Practical experience with accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and the preparation of financial statements

• Comfortable with enterprise-level accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar)
