This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take charge of the company's budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning procedures.
• Create and maintain financial models that underpin strategic planning, hiring, investments, and operational decision-making.
• Compile monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages, including variance analyses and executive dashboards.
• Collaborate with department heads to formulate budgets, track expenditures, and enhance financial visibility throughout the organization.
• Manage cash flow forecasting and assist in optimizing liquidity and working capital management.
• Work alongside external accounting firms to supervise month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting in line with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Develop, document, and continually refine financial policies, processes, and internal controls.
• Aid in annual audits, tax filings, and other financial compliance obligations.
• Create financial analyses and business cases to back strategic initiatives, pricing strategies, and operational investments.
• Assist with board reporting, fundraising efforts, financial due diligence, and investor materials as required.
• Assess financial and operational performance, pinpointing trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Develop executive dashboards and key performance indicators to evaluate business performance.
• Identify opportunities to automate financial reporting and enhance operational efficiency.
• Partner with leadership throughout the organization to facilitate informed, data-driven decision-making.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Over 5 years of experience in finance, financial planning & analysis (FP&A), accounting, corporate finance, or a similar field.
• CPA certification is strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial statement analysis.
• Proven experience in managing budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Advanced financial modeling capabilities using Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets.
• Experience in preparing executive-level financial reports and business performance evaluations.
• Background in collaborating cross-functionally with business leaders to assist strategic decision-making.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills suited for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Excellent organizational and project management capabilities with the capacity to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Salary Range: $115K-$150K, depending on experience and location
