• Ensure adherence to internal financial policies and applicable regulatory standards.
• Exhibit flexibility across various accounting and bookkeeping platforms — QuickBooks, Xero, FreshBooks, or others as dictated by business needs.
• Develop, document, and sustain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), workflows, and process guides that are practical for team use.
• Regularly evaluate existing processes against business data and drive improvements — pinpoint inefficiencies before they escalate into issues.
• Aid in the implementation and deployment of new operational updates, tools, and organizational changes with thoroughness and compliance.
• Collaborate across departments and functions to guarantee operational continuity and alignment.
• Contribute to data analytics initiatives — collect, organize, analyze, and present operational data in clear formats for informed decision-making.
• Act as a professional point of contact for clients — written and verbal communications must consistently reflect Wingz's standards.
• Foster and maintain strong client relationships through consistent, proactive, and dependable communication.
• Address client inquiries, escalations, and follow-ups with clarity, professionalism, and appropriate urgency.
• Possess a deep understanding of client needs to foresee issues and communicate solutions proactively.
• Communicate directly and explicitly with executives, leadership, and stakeholders — no ambiguity or over-cautiousness.
• Prepare concise updates, reports, and briefings that provide decision-makers with exactly what they need without diluting the message.
• Proactively raise issues, risks, and recommendations — leadership should always be informed in a timely manner.
• At least 3 years of combined relevant experience in finance/accounting and operations — not just one, but both.
• Proven experience in leading or managing a team in any capacity.
• A history of developing or enhancing SOPs, workflows, or business processes.
• Experience in client-facing roles where the quality of communication directly influenced results.
• Experience in a remote work environment is highly preferred — you understand remote discipline, asynchronous communication, and self-management.
• We do not require familiarity with any specific tool. Instead, we seek a mindset and ability to learn and utilize whatever the business employs.
• Proficient English communication skills — both written and verbal — are essential. You will be engaging with US-based leadership, executives, and clients.
• Written communications: reports, SOPs, email correspondence, and internal documentation must always be clear, concise, and professional.
• Verbal communications: you should feel comfortable speaking in team meetings, client calls, and leadership briefings — articulate, confident, and direct.
• You communicate with purpose, ensuring there is no room for misinterpretation when it matters.
• PTO and HMO available after the 120-day probationary period.
