This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Daily oversight of cash balances for all entities.
• Bank reconciliation and Xero matching across all entities.
• Setting up payments: accounts payable runs, contractor and affiliate payments, as well as wire and ACH/EFT arrangements.
• Managing virtual credit cards, monitoring and allocating charges, and ensuring accurate entity coding.
• Preparation of senior lender certificates.
• Maintenance of master bank reconciliations for all entities.
• Administration of the multi-entity intercompany allocation model, which includes personnel costs, software, subcontractor, SDR, and insurance allocations.
• Preparation and posting of journal entries across all entities: accrued liabilities, prepaid expenses, revenue reclassifications, affiliate payments, and expense allocations.
• Handling revenue entries and conducting period-end reconciliations across all business units.
• Managing stock-based compensation journal entries and maintaining the SBC expense schedule.
• Preparation of variance analyses and resolution of comments for all entities on a monthly basis.
• Review of aged payables and follow-up actions.
• Ensuring the accuracy of accrual reversals and breaking down accruals.
• Analyzing software subscription expenses and providing FP&A close support.
• Preparing and filing quarterly GST for all entities.
• Monthly accrual of US sales tax and quarterly sales tax analysis for both Canada and the US.
• Conducting monthly and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Monitoring FX forward contracts and assessing fair value at the end of the period.
• Supporting annual audits, including working papers and audit evidence packages for both companies.
• Assisting with quarterly consolidation, consolidated trial balance, and related party schedules.
• Preparing and reconciling certain personnel costs, commissions, and payments across entities.
• Proactively identifying and implementing AI-assisted workflows and automations to enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of Finance operations.
• Aiding in the development and maintenance of automated workbooks and reporting tools across the Finance function.
• Other tasks as assigned.
• 2–4 years of accounting experience, preferably in a multi-entity or SaaS/tech setting.
• Comprehensive knowledge of IFRS / accrual-basis accounting with an understanding of the rationale behind processes.
• Proficient in Xero or a similar cloud accounting platform (training on our specific setup is available).
• Ability to resolve issues independently before escalating; you recognize the difference between flags requiring decisions and questions you can answer on your own.
• Consistently meet deadlines without needing reminders; a tight month-end close timeline is routine, not a crisis.
• Possess an AI-first mindset, utilizing tools to enhance efficiency, and actively seeking automation opportunities.
• Highly detail-oriented, creative, and passionate about helping others achieve their goals.
• Self-driven with the capacity to build and maintain strong relationships through a client-first approach.
• Able to work both independently and collaboratively in a diverse, fast-paced, and results-oriented environment.
• CPA, CPA candidate, or equivalent accounting designation in progress is a significant advantage.
• Experience with payroll processing or commissions is beneficial.
• Proficient in English (spoken and written); knowledge of an additional language is considered advantageous.
