Finance Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Invoice Processing: Efficiently manage supplier invoices within the ERP system, ensuring accurate account coding, adherence to the approval workflow, and timely postings.

• Accounts Payable (AP) Management: Oversee payment cycles, keep track of due dates, and ensure timely execution of payments.

• Accounts Receivable (AR) Management: Issue customer invoices promptly, aligning with contracts, delivery notes, or service agreements.

• Bank Account Oversight: Conduct daily bank reconciliations and monitor cash transactions diligently.

• General Ledger (G/L) Entries: Record all accounting transactions associated with AP, AR, bank activities, and other recurring entries.

• Assistance with Month-End and Year-End Closing: Play a role in timely month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations, accruals, and cut-off postings.

• Involvement in Finance Projects and Continuous Improvement: Support finance initiatives such as system enhancements, process automation, and improvements in internal controls.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Professional accounting certification completion (e.g., Bilanzbuchhalter/in, CPA) is advantageous.

• 5–7 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a similar operational finance position.

• Extensive knowledge of bookkeeping, AR/AP processes, general ledger accounting, and financial closing practices.

• Awareness of German GAAP (HGB) standards.

• Advanced skills in Excel.

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., DATEV, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar ERP systems).

• Strong communication abilities in both German and English.

• Practical and proactive mindset.

• Willingness to adapt to change and capability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
