
Field Support Representative, Diagnostics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• You will be traveling up to 75% of the time (over 5 days of car travel each week and 6-8+ overnight stays monthly); weekend availability and weekday overtime may also be necessary.
• You will be responsible for installing and training clinic staff on the optimal use of IDEXX Analyzers (such as ProCyte, Catalyst One, SediVue, InVue).
• You will assist with critical customer visits by providing onsite technical support in case of unforeseen issues.
• You will operate remotely from a home-based office.
• You will leverage a variety of programs to organize and plan your customer visits, positioning yourself as a genuine IDEXX Ambassador and a trusted partner to your customers.
• You will manage your schedule according to the unique needs and characteristics of your customers while also prioritizing your own professional development and growth.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a veterinary practice or a related field.
• Knowledge of IDEXX products is preferred.
• A valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record are required.
• Must reside in the Hamilton, ON area and be willing to travel within this territory, and occasionally outside of it as necessary (self-relocation is required for travel outside the territory).
• The ability to establish and maintain relationships to earn trust and confidence from others.
• Excellent communication skills and the capability to collaborate effectively with customers, management, and colleagues.
• Strong planning and prioritization abilities to make quality, timely decisions.
• Effective listening skills to identify customer needs and adapt your approach and demeanor to various situations.
• Comfort with learning and utilizing technology, including computers, tablets, and smartphones (experience with computer networking is a plus).
• Capability to perform the physical demands of the role, which includes reaching, handling, squeezing, twisting, manipulating objects, controls, and tools; as well as occasionally climbing, balancing, bending, stooping, kneeling, or crouching; and lifting, moving, and carrying up to 60 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities are required, including close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Sufficient hearing acuity to communicate effectively with customers and employees via telephone and in person.
• Proficiency in English to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
• Ability to travel and work within the assigned area, drive for extended periods, and interact with animals.
