This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hawaii.
• Responsible for maintaining and supporting the configuration of workstations, laptops, peripheral hardware, and printers.
• Tasked with the creation and installation of computer images, which encompass the operating systems and applications for all workstations and laptops.
• Supports and maintains software on users' home PCs and laptops to facilitate successful remote access to the client's network and applications.
• Delivers excellent customer service to all staff and clients, including direct end-user assistance in support of the Help Desk.
• Acts as a liaison with hardware and software manufacturers to resolve technical issues.
• Conducts operational troubleshooting and support for the Microsoft Windows Operating System.
• Provides operational troubleshooting and support for Windows servers and virtualization solutions (VMware and Microsoft).
• Offers operational and communication support to troubleshoot and configure backbone equipment servicing, including switches, routers, firewalls, and advanced routing.
• Researches and suggests enhancements to the system to better meet the organization's needs, as directed by management.
• Takes initiative on assigned projects, adhering to work plans and deadlines specified for each project.
• Ensures proper installation, configuration, documentation, and operation of workstation virus protection software.
• Participates in floor support during major system changes, rollouts of new software, hardware, and system enhancements developed by the organization.
• Collaborates with other IT groups to research, test, deploy, document, and upgrade new and existing hardware and software.
• Provides desk-side support for escalated issues as required.
• Works closely with IT staff to share knowledge and promote open communication.
• Responsible for the communication, coordination, and backup of other Help Desk team members.
• Engages with customer information technology organizations to resolve configuration challenges.
• Maintains technical certifications and acquires expertise and knowledge on product and solution training pertinent to their role.
• Provides comprehensive technical support on advanced technologies within the IT equipment environment and assists in developing and delivering technology and skills development seminars.
• Executes additional duties as assigned.
• Industry Certifications – A+, Net+, Security+ (Microsoft 2012 certifications and VMware certifications preferred).
• IT Readiness Training - Server Management, Workstation Management, Advanced Server Support MX, Advanced Server Support AD, UTM Management, VOIP.
• Completion of Smart Hands Curriculum (36.5 hrs).
• Strong computer/application competencies are required.
• Experience with automated call routing.
• A 4-year degree or equivalent experience is necessary.
• 2 to 4 years of Field Service experience is strongly preferred.
• Must possess a valid state driver's license and meet the minimum level of auto insurance coverage as per Ricoh policy.
