Field Services Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Execute a variety of project and service-related tasks for clients.

• Install, commission, and initiate new systems.

• Provide lifecycle support services.

• Address customer service inquiries.

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.

• Act as a subject matter expert for our range of SMART Products.

• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction for SMART product clients in North America.

• Collaborate with team members effectively.

• Offer regular updates to clients about the progress of their projects and service requests.

• Prepare and maintain technical reports in line with project scopes or service request specifications.

• Ensure all project and service tasks are completed in adherence to company policies and procedures.

• Engage in training and professional development programs to remain current with new products and technologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Preferred: Associate's degree in electronics, engineering, mechatronics, or a related field.

• At least 5 years of experience in customer service or technical support positions.

• Familiarity with the pulp and paper manufacturing process is preferred, specifically in paper machine operations.

• Experience with data communication links between PLC and DCS (Modbus, OPC, Ethernet IP, etc.).

• Excellent customer service and communication abilities, with the capacity to convey technical information to non-technical audiences effectively.

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with proficiency in diagnosing and resolving technical issues promptly and efficiently.

• Background in instrumentation and electrification, including installation, troubleshooting, and repair.

• Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

• Must possess a valid driver's license and be willing to travel to client locations as required.
