Field Service Technician – Vertical Form Fill and Horizontal Flow Wrapping

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.

📋 Description

• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and software issues on equipment at customer locations, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

• Support the installation, commissioning, and testing of new equipment, offering guidance to customer staff on proper operational and maintenance procedures.

• Develop and sustain robust customer relationships through effective communication and diplomacy.

• Work collaboratively with team members to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in service delivery.

• Establish and nurture customer relationships.

⛳️ Requirements

• A two-year post-secondary diploma or certificate in electro-mechanical technology along with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, OR a high school diploma with at least 5 years of applicable experience.

• Expertise in mechanical, pneumatic, and control systems, coupled with a strong understanding of material handling practices.

• Capacity to read and interpret technical documentation, including engineering documents, operation and maintenance instructions, bills of materials, and procedural manuals.

• Proficient in writing reports and business correspondence.

• Ability to effectively present information and address inquiries from groups of leaders, clients, and customers.

• Excellent time management abilities to juggle multiple projects alongside phone calls and simultaneous inquiries.

• Strong interpersonal and customer relations skills, enabling effective work both independently and as part of a team.

• Advanced knowledge of VFD functions, operations, and programming.

• Desired HMI programming experience with Allen Bradley.

• Motion control experience with Allen Bradley and Control Techniques/SyPT is preferred.

• Proficient in interpreting and troubleshooting pneumatic and electrical schematics.

• Ability to troubleshoot wiring and conduct I/O checks.

• Bilingual in English and Spanish is an advantage.

• Experience with robotics is beneficial.
