Field Service Technician, HVAC – Data Center

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Data Center Service Technicians visit customer locations to initiate, commission, and safely troubleshoot and repair Data Center equipment.

• Execute factory start-up, commissioning, warranty, and billable services on Munters Data Center equipment and systems.

• Safeguard and maintain Munters equipment and property.

• Respond promptly to all service requests from customers or management.

• Deliver customer training on Munters equipment.

• Provide technical insights on equipment through detailed field service reports.

• Recognize that the primary role of Field Service is to respond immediately to customer needs, ensuring our team is always available for urgent or non-urgent requests.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience and extensive expertise in the Mechanical field, particularly in HVAC.

• Frequent travel is necessary, up to 90%, throughout the USA by both plane and car.

• In-depth knowledge of electrical troubleshooting, with the ability to diagnose electrical issues proficiently and document data.

• Familiarity with all safety procedures and requirements, including training in Arc flash, lockout/tagout, and other safety standards.

• Knowledgeable in the use of all personal protective equipment (PPE) associated with electrical safety.

• Extensive knowledge of refrigeration systems.

• Capable of pressure testing, evacuating, and charging systems independently.

• Comprehends refrigeration system concepts and can troubleshoot and diagnose refrigeration issues effectively.

• Proficient in brazing and soldering techniques.

• Possesses a universal refrigeration certification.

• Extensive expertise in Controls, including experience with troubleshooting, programming, or downloading to control systems.

• Familiar with PLCs and adept at working with various platforms.

• Able to retrieve information from PLCs and make necessary adjustments.

• Capable of connecting to a PLC with a computer to communicate and implement changes.

• (Optional) Must have a State Licensed Master HVAC mechanic designation, which entails years of experience, training, and testing, along with working under seasoned professionals.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Self-motivated with the capability to work independently.

• Ability to communicate effectively with other site personnel, as well as Sales PM, Service Manager, and Technical Support staff.
