Field Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Deliver technical support to clients throughout the operational life of machinery.

• Offer guidance and hands-on assistance to clients in diagnosing operational issues and proposing solutions.

• Conduct on-site training for client operators on equipment setup, operation, change-over, and maintenance procedures.

• Create comprehensive trip reports for clients that outline encountered issues and the actions taken to resolve them.

• Compile field time reports, expense documentation, and follow-up communications with clients.

• Assemble components for the aftermarket parts division and participate in occasional machine rebuilds and upgrades.

• Engage in customer Factory Acceptance Tests.

⛳️ Requirements

• An Associate’s Degree in a relevant technical field or 8 years of equivalent experience.

• A minimum of 3 years experience in custom machine manufacturing or mechanical repair and maintenance.

• Extensive knowledge of mechanical and electrical technical applications, particularly with Allen-Bradley PLCs, servo-driven motors and controls, stepper motors and controls, as well as pneumatic machinery.

• Proficiency in interpreting complex engineering designs, including wiring schematics.

• Experience within the packaging industry is preferred.

• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

• A problem-solver with strong independent judgment capabilities.

• Proven ability to efficiently multitask and meet deadlines for deliverables.

• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 85% of the time.
