This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Conducts remote work at customer locations, installing and servicing equipment while delivering training and support to customers.
• Diagnoses and repairs injection molding machines and robots, performing tests and inspections on all mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and electronic components, including calibrations to enhance performance.
• Executes software and hardware installations.
• Conducts all safety inspections on equipment.
• Instructs customers on equipment use and proper operational procedures.
• Oversees the resolution of customer issues, managing the ordering and installation of replacement parts as needed.
• Places orders for replacement parts based on diagnoses of control system issues and formulates a systematic approach for addressing machine problems and conducting necessary repairs or part replacements.
• Provides instruction to other Service Technicians and/or customer operators regarding the maintenance and safe operation of injection molding systems.
• Maintains ongoing communication with Central Service/Manufacturing/Parts Center to acquire solutions to challenges faced in the field.
• Regularly submits written reports to the Service Manager.
• High School Diploma is mandatory.
• An Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in injection molding troubleshooting or processing, or previous experience as a Field Service Injection Molding Technician/Service Engineer.
• Proficient in reading blueprints and schematics for troubleshooting electrical/electronic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
• Strong understanding of the injection molding process.
• Capability to troubleshoot issues in a systematic manner.
• Knowledge of microprocessor programming.
• Familiarity with materials such as PET, Polypropylene, Polyethylene, Styrene, and other common materials.
• Experience with ENGEL machines and robots is preferred.
• MUST HAVE - A valid Passport and a driver’s license in good standing, including REAL-ID.
