This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Collaborate on-site with clients to uncover opportunities for operational enhancements and address challenges.
• Undertake field service responsibilities, including diagnosing technical issues and executing certified on-site troubleshooting.
• Compile material lists for service tasks, ensuring that all materials, components, and equipment adhere to quality standards and are readily available.
• Carry out installation and commissioning, maintenance, repairs, extensions, upgrades, retrofits, end-of-life services, and replacements.
• Foster and sustain positive relationships with customers to improve their satisfaction.
• Recognize potential new sales opportunities while fulfilling customer needs and relay this information internally.
• Anticipate potential equipment failures and propose corrective measures.
• Recommend product and quality enhancements.
• Provide management with suggestions for enhancing operations and customer service.
• Adhere to safety protocols and uphold safe work and environmental practices.
• Promptly report unsafe practices and incidents.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology with over 1 year of experience in servicing critical power equipment, OR an Associate’s Degree in electrical technology with more than 3 years of experience, OR a High School Diploma/GED with equivalent work or military experience (5+ years) in servicing critical power equipment.
• Proficient in interacting and communicating (both written and verbal) information at various organizational levels.
• High proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications.
• Moderate capability in Project Management utilizing MS Project or Excel.
• Expertise in crafting test plans and reports that detail test outcomes.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines for administrative tasks.
• Works collaboratively with others.
• Exhibits a sense of urgency and ownership until tasks are completed.
• Candidates must possess work authorization that allows them to be employed by ABB in the US.
