Field Service Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee a designated territory, traveling as necessary to carry out installation, repairs, preventive maintenance, training, and various services on an array of electro-mechanical medical devices.

• Conduct installation, calibration, preventive maintenance, and repairs on a diverse range of electro-mechanical medical equipment.

• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions by identifying root causes and executing corrective measures.

• Organize the service territory by efficiently scheduling service calls, preventive maintenance, and travel.

• Ensure precise documentation of service activities, maintenance logs, and inventory transactions.

• Offer training and support to customer personnel regarding equipment operation and maintenance practices.

• Maintain effective communication with customers about service updates, arrival schedules, and problem resolution.

• Represent the company in a professional manner through a positive attitude, appearance, and engagement with customers and colleagues.

• Provide mentorship and assistance to fellow service technicians; participate in departmental meetings and training sessions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in biomedical engineering, including the installation, maintenance, and repair of medical devices.

• Ability to work independently and manage the assigned territory effectively.

• Strong interpersonal skills, maintaining a high level of professionalism and courtesy towards peers and both internal and external customers.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are essential.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, Project, PowerPoint).

• Capable of functioning in healthcare settings while following PPE protocols.

• Willingness to travel 50-75%, including overnight stays.

• A valid driver’s license is mandatory.

• An Associate’s degree or higher in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, OR an Associate’s degree or higher in an unrelated field with 3+ years of electro-mechanical troubleshooting experience, or Biomedical Engineering Technology (BMET) certification with 3+ years of experience, or completion of a U.S. military electrical or electrical biomedical equipment technology program.
