This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio, +1 more state.
• Install, repair, and conduct preventative maintenance on Visionix, Briot-Weco, and Optovue products
• Provide on-site troubleshooting and advanced technical support
• Keep precise service documentation, manage parts inventory, and oversee RMA processes
• Communicate efficiently with customers, internal teams, and leadership
• Maintain company-issued tools, diagnostic equipment, and service vehicles responsibly
• Identify opportunities for workflow enhancements or potential sales
• Mentor and assist new Field Service Representatives (FSRs) during their onboarding
• Must possess computer proficiency (Windows, MS Office Suite, and other required applications)
• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned
• Associate degree in a technical discipline, military technical training, or equivalent experience
• Over 2 years of field service or technical support experience (6+ years preferred)
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting capabilities
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics
• Basic IT skills (Windows/Uploading & Downloading software)
• Outstanding communication and customer service skills
• Capacity to lift up to 80 lbs. and travel frequently (by car and air)
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Willingness to travel across the U.S. for training and regional support
• Experience with optics or ophthalmic equipment is advantageous—training will be provided
