This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Act as a representative and support for the Company in the field by conducting pre-sale site surveys, installing equipment, performing repairs or replacements, and providing customer training, all in accordance with Company schedules, procedures, and standards.
• Install, configure, and commission new systems while adhering to company protocols and processes.
• Execute service tasks at customer locations, which include troubleshooting, repairing, or replacing customer equipment.
• Conduct visits to facilities for preventative maintenance by inspecting installed equipment and making necessary repairs.
• Carry out facility site surveys to assess the usability of products manufactured and/or sold by the Company.
• Deliver training to facility staff to demonstrate the proper operation and maintenance of the installed equipment.
• Undertake administrative responsibilities such as drafting facility visit reports, completing service or post-installation checklists, generating and submitting expense reports, and keeping an accurate inventory of equipment and parts in a company vehicle.
• Participate in construction meetings as required to ensure that installations related to new construction or renovation projects proceed as planned.
• Join an on-call rotation to provide coverage for emergency repairs during weekends or holidays.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver's License with no restrictions.
• A foundational understanding of low-voltage systems demonstrated by one of the following: an Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in Electrical Technology, Electronics, Industrial Electronics, or a closely related field.
• Successful completion of a post-secondary Vocational Certificate program for Low Voltage Technician/Specialist or Structured Cabling.
• Recent completion of a formal apprenticeship program related to the field (e.g., IBEW Low Voltage/Limited Energy).
• Proven knowledge of circuits, relays, and system installation methods, which may be evidenced through coursework, capstone projects, or at least 6 months of hands-on experience.
• Capability to obtain the necessary State licensing required for the role (e.g., Security System Technician licensing).
