Field Service Representative

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment at customer sites utilizing tools, components, and technical diagrams.

• Conduct on-site preventive maintenance and inspection service tasks.

• Offer call-out services and commissioning activities for turbomachinery and packaged systems.

• Employ test equipment, schematics, and manufacturer specifications to diagnose and pinpoint malfunctions.

• Analyze, repair, or replace defective parts using hand tools, gauges, and instruments under supervision.

• Make use of digital tools and systems.

• Inspect for common issues, including dirty or faulty components.

• Clean and lubricate equipment under guidance.

• Carry out routine installations and make necessary equipment adjustments under supervision.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree or equivalent experience is preferred.

• Familiarity with customer service concepts and techniques.

• Initiative and the ability to proactively tackle responsibilities and challenges.

• Understanding of problem-solving methodologies, tools, and techniques.

• Knowledge of machinery utilized in power plants and preventive maintenance of mechanical components.

• Familiarity with mechanical equipment and maintenance within oil and gas operations.

• Awareness of oil and gas safety procedures, practices, and regulatory standards.

• Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).

• Understanding of troubleshooting methods, tools, and techniques in a manufacturing setting.

• Must successfully pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screening and physical fitness assessment.

• Clean driving record: no moving violations in the last 12 months, no “2 point” violations in the past 3 years, and no DUIs in the last 7 years.

• Must complete a physical examination and obtain OGUK offshore certification from a Solar-approved physician if required.

• Must be eligible to obtain a legal Transportation Worker Identification Credential.
