Field Service Representative

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.

📋 Description

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment at client sites utilizing tools, parts, and technical diagrams.

• Conduct on-site preventive maintenance and inspection service tasks.

• Perform call-out services and commissioning operations on turbomachinery and packaged systems.

• Employ test equipment, schematics, and manufacturer specifications to diagnose and identify issues.

• Under supervision, utilize hand tools, gauges, and instruments to analyze, repair, or replace defective components.

• Leverage digital tools and systems for efficient operations.

• Monitor and identify common troubleshooting causes; clean and lubricate equipment as necessary.

• Under supervision, carry out routine installations and make equipment adjustments within standard procedures.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree or equivalent experience is preferred.

• Understanding of customer service principles and techniques.

• Proactive attitude with the ability to seek work and achieve objectives.

• Familiarity with problem-solving strategies, tools, and techniques.

• Knowledge of machinery used in power plants, along with preventive maintenance and repair of mechanical components.

• Understanding of mechanical equipment and preventive maintenance in oil and gas settings.

• Awareness of oil and gas safety protocols, practices, and regulatory standards.

• Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).

• Capability to troubleshoot technical issues in a manufacturing environment.

• Must pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screening and physical fitness assessment.

• Clean driving history: no moving violations in the past 12 months, no “2 point” violations in the last 3 years, and no DUIs in the last 7 years.

• Successfully complete a physical examination and obtain OGUK offshore certification from a Solar-approved physician if required.

• Ability to secure a legal Transportation Worker Identification Credential.
