This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +4 more states.
β’ Provide both remote and on-site services for the installation, maintenance, and advanced support of equipment.
β’ Install hardware, sensors, and accessories for transformers.
β’ Configure and confirm the physical communication connectivity.
β’ Integrate and test transformer software, which includes firmware updates.
β’ Act as the primary on-site liaison for clients and subcontractors.
β’ Strategically delegate tasks to optimize project costs and timelines.
β’ Conduct testing of SEL relays utilizing Omicron relay test sets or similar tools.
β’ Utilize standard industrial communication protocols, such as Modbus and BACnet.
β’ Perform testing on protection relays (like SEL) at designated settings using an Omicron relay test set or equivalent equipment.
β’ Carry out electrical tests on transformers, including bushing power factor and capacitance, core megger tests, TTR, winding resistance, insulation power factor, and insulation resistance.
β’ Ensure adherence to relevant external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
β’ An Associate degree with 3 years of professional experience or a High School Diploma/GED with 5 years of professional experience.
β’ Must be physically capable of performing duties and fieldwork.
β’ Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
β’ Experience in data center fieldwork is advantageous.
β’ Must have a valid driverβs license and be willing to travel up to 85% of the time.
β’ Candidate must possess work authorization that allows them to be employed by Hitachi Energy in the United States.
