This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Deliver onsite services, including repairs, preventive maintenance, upgrades, and installation of analyzers.
• Travel with short notice to customer locations to address reported issues or assist other field service staff.
• Adhere to Good Documentation Practices (GDPs) and internal policies for field service reports and job-related submissions related to spare parts, including ordering, usage, returns, and physical inventory.
• Exhibit integrity, understanding, tact, fairness, and technical expertise in all customer interactions.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams to resolve customer challenges and enhance processes.
• Offer remote and onsite service training or support to Biomedical Engineering Technicians (BMET) or Advanced Operators.
• Enhance technical proficiency in servicing instruments by completing in-person or online training courses.
• Manage travel expenses in accordance with Thermo Fisher Scientific travel policies and guidelines.
• An associate degree in a Technical or Engineering field such as Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical, or a comparable combination of skills and experience is preferred.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in life sciences, biomedical engineering, and/or technical customer-facing roles is preferred.
• Proficiency in operating, repairing, and calibrating advanced analyzers or systems.
• Experience working in a clinical, diagnostic, and/or regulated environment (CAP, CLIA, FDA) is preferred.
• Strong skills in Windows and other software, knowledge of networks, electrical/electronics, mechanics, and chemistry technology; an analytical problem solver with solid engineering skills.
• Capability to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license, with a clean Motor Vehicle report.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Must successfully pass a comprehensive background check, including a drug screening.
