This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Denmark.
• Travel to customer locations throughout Northern Europe, primarily in Denmark, the Netherlands, and Germany, as well as other regions in Europe to install, service, update, and repair Thermo Fisher SUT hardware and automation products.
• Deliver expert technical support and troubleshooting for our state-of-the-art bioproduction equipment.
• Carry out installations, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of high-value analytical instruments.
• Execute commissioning and qualification of equipment by applying Site Acceptance Test (SAT) and Installation/Operational Qualification (IQ/OQ) Protocols.
• Integrate technical knowledge with exceptional customer service skills to tackle complex challenges and assist our clients in making groundbreaking discoveries.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams to address customer concerns and enhance processes.
• Offer basic product training and technical support for our instrumentation to both customers and the internal Sales team.
• Document all activities in the Sales Force Service desk, providing customer feedback to management, as well as hardware and software teams.
• Contribute to revenue optimization and new product development initiatives; assist in demonstrating our products to prospective clients.
• Maintain technical proficiency by participating in training sessions, employee meetings, and staying current on new products, markets, customers, and competitors.
• This field-based role will initially concentrate on supporting customers in France. As you advance in your position, you will have the chance to assist the entire EMEA region. The role necessitates frequent travel each week (50-100% of work time) to sites across EMEA. While not traveling, you will have the option to work from home.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Biomedical, or a related scientific discipline) or equivalent experience.
• Advanced Degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated experience in installing, troubleshooting, and repairing complex analytical instruments, especially in the bioproduction field.
• Strong aptitude in electronics and mechanics with the capability to diagnose problems down to the component level.
• Exceptional customer service skills and a professional demeanor.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in Danish is highly desirable.
• Proven problem-solving skills and analytical thinking abilities.
• Proficient with Windows operating systems, MS Office, and service management software.
• Capability to read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and documentation.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel 50-100% of the time.
• Physical capability to lift up to 25 kg and stand for prolonged periods.
• Experience with bioproduction equipment, specifically Single Use Technology (SUT) hardware and automation products.
• Availability to work flexible hours and respond to emergency service requests.
• Must be able to acquire the necessary credentials to access customer facilities.
• Strong organizational skills with effective time management capabilities.
• Collaborative attitude with the ability to work independently in the field.
• Willingness to support the entire EMEA region as the position evolves.
• Self-reliant; comfortable working autonomously; logical in prioritizing work tasks.
• Ability to lift 40 lbs. without assistance.
• Compliance with all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards.
• Some level of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs, etc.).
