This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Conducts skilled, technical, and advisory tasks related to the installation, repair, maintenance, and calibration of diagnostic and other imaging devices or systems.
• Educates medical and clinical staff on the safe and effective use of equipment and systems.
• Analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs diagnostic and imaging equipment and systems using established electronic testing and measurement tools and techniques.
• Engages in discussions regarding upcoming installations, encompassing any required new construction, repairs, preventive maintenance, de-installations, and recalls with both external and internal stakeholders.
• Installs the units and provides necessary customer in-house product and unit training.
• Performs scheduled maintenance, calibrations, and/or modifications on imaging equipment and systems.
• Offers operational and technical guidance on diagnostic imaging equipment to medical and clinical personnel.
• Maintains precise records of all inspections, repairs, adjustments, etc., carried out on all equipment.
• Prepares and secures all necessary training documentation and installation certifications as mandated by the company, customer, FDA, and/or state regulatory bodies.
• Monitors and logs all installation information as required.
• Completes service reports, including Preventative Maintenance documents, and submits them within the department's established guidelines.
• Finalizes expense reports and submits them according to departmental guidelines.
• Requests and/or orders essential repair and spare parts in line with established procedures and contractual agreements.
• Ensures that the Product Support Specialist, Area Service Manager, and Sales Team are informed about customer interactions and the resolution of any application issues.
• Adheres to the service escalation process WI-FS-7.5.1.3.3-003.
• Bachelor's degree in electronics, biomedical engineering, biomedical technology, electrical engineering, or a related field.
• Over five years of experience in servicing equipment.
• Prior mechanical, electronics, or electrical work experience in either a field service or hospital-based environment is essential.
• Proficient in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, and/or electronic equipment.
• Experienced in troubleshooting and addressing customer issues.
• Strong computer skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, software operating systems, and network technology.
• Previous experience interfacing with both internal team members and external customers as part of a solution-focused service process.
• Familiarity with common electronic testing equipment such as Digital Multi-Meters and safety analyzers.
• Previous experience with or ability to interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, illustrated parts diagrams, and technical manuals of biomedical and imaging instrumentation.
• Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time.
• Compliance with certification/credentialing requirements as mandated by the Customer for access to its facilities to perform job functions.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as necessary.
• Involvement in both internal and external educational programs.
